Would you like to share your March SOTM Artwork with us?
Ok so here is how my layout was "born"
I began with Sophia paper, and the newest CTMH book "MAGIC" .
First vignette is the bunnies: I cut out a TopNote (sizzix die) and stamped momma bunny in Desert sand ink, then stamped her twice more on white cardstock, and Daydream patterned paper -- cutting out the pieces I wanted to be each color, then did the same with baby bunny and cut his coat out of Magnifique patterned paper. Momma bunny has a few extra cuts to cut out the present she was holding in the original stamp and make a notch under her arm to hold baby bunny...LOL... I just couldn't resist!! I used a tulip marker for the stitching, and blush cs for the mat. I used CTMH markers in Garden Green Baby PInk, and Sky, then Copics E00, E11, and my colorless blender to color the brownish parts of the bunnies - putting liquid glass (just a touch! ) on the eyes and noses for dimension. Then the sentiment was stamped in Tulip ink and cut out with Spellbinders Label Nine, the mat for it is Heavenly Blue and I used our White Daisy marker to go around the edges. The crochet flowers were stained the light Goldrush color with reinker in rubbing alcohol and water, then I added pink sparkles to the centers.
The second vignette is the Butterfly scene ~ I used our pink Pretty Pins,Heart Felt Wonders butterfly and flourish, Just Blooms in pink, creme brulee, and Tulip, accented with pink sparkles and some silk flowers with pearl centers to create this little flower garden accented with blush ribbons
The tag pocket is accented with the second sentiment stamp in this set, and satin blush ribbons and pearls, the tag itself is Labels Nine from Spellbinders.
I used CTMH Kraft ready border, painted on a coat of CeramaCoat Paint, then when it dried, I added a coat of Create A Shade Pearl paint, then blush ink to the edges and weaved our blush satin ribbon through the holes in the border. The chipboard squiggle borders also got this same treatment. The chipboard button were also painted with Create A Shade paint, but I added Pear reinker to them to give them the nice green color and shimmer!
