Blessed - April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hi Everyone and welcome to the blog hop!  If you've come from
Wanda Riley's Blog  then you're on the right track.

If you get lost you can view the entire blog list on Helen's Blog  HERE.

This month's exclusive stamp set D1455 - Blessed, is a fantastic set for those of us that don't like to color!  The wonderful designers at Close to My Heart have provided you with the best of both worlds with this set.  There are "hollow" images that you can color ; but there are also "filled" stamps that you can use to "color in" your images making this set creatively open, very versatile, and quickly becoming a fast favorite among all my  girlfriends who got to play with it this past weekend at crop!
These stamps remind me of the picture pages we had in Scholastics as a kid..lol...can you match the inside of each image to the picture it belongs in ? LOL!  This is what the stamp set looks like:

Here is the layout I did using the set and pics from Father's Day 2008 .  Yes, I have scrapped backwards to '08 this year -- YAY!  My handy dandy penant trick on the top of both pages was an interesting epiphany - Instead of folding down a whole corner to just one plain triangle - you crease lightly and cut the piece in half to make two penants!  I used embroidery floss and teeny baby buttons to complete the illusion.
The stamped images and paper flowers were "painted" slightly with ink from the inside lid of my ink pads that
had been diluted using a waterbrush after the initial image was stamped just to give some tone.
